Cross Stitch Finish: Spring Bird from Jo's Country Junction

When I was at a cross-stitch retreat last year, a lady attended. She had a friend who had passed away. The husband asked that she distribute the cross stitch patterns and supplies to people who might appreciate it. Friends took some items and then there were leftovers. She brought them to the retreat and encouraged …

Quilt Finish: Lady of the Lake from Jo's Country Junction

I finished my Lady of the Lake quilt. I believe the pattern is in this book. You can find it HERE. It’s a great book. I’d love to make every pattern in here…and many I’d like to adapt into full-sized bed quilts. This quilt came about in my “I’m going to clean the sewing room …

A Day At Home from Quilting My Way

This morning, Patrick and I slept in. I went downstairs to get the fireplace going so I could work down there getting stuff ready for the sew days next week.

I played my games for a bit, then I headed downstairs to work on the purple I needed to finish the wreath. Once I had those cut, I started working on the pillowcases that we are going to try and sell at the Bazaar. I just hope we can sell them.

Later this weekend I will work on getting them ready to sew. That way I will have a stack ...

Cross Stitch Finish: Spring Awakens from Jo's Country Junction

Last week on Friday, I decided I needed to get some cross stitch items finished. With all that has been going on with me personally and health-wise, some things have fallen behind. One thing is finishing my cross stitch pieces. I have several things that need to be fully finished. I prioritized Spring things as …

Quilt Finish: Hourglass Leftovers from Jo's Country Junction

In my effort to clear off my sewing room island, this quilt got finished. This originated from my daughter, Kelli. After her twins, Eli and Emmett, were born, I went to her house and helped her with some cleaning and organizing. While we were doing that, she came across some hourglass blocks that she had …

Quilt Finish: Emerald City from Jo's Country Junction

As part of my push to finish up UFO projects, I got Emerald City finished. This quilt was EPIC. I had two different blog readers ask me to take lots of pictures of this quilt…so I tried. Rosie now knows to jump up on the porch and to stand by a quilt when I’m taking …

You might remember a week or two ago when Kelli was home, she put together a UFO Ila had sent to me to use as a donation quilt. This one… Ila used a strip tube ruler when she put this together and then sent me all of the leftovers. I was able to make a …

Quilt Finish: Wizard of Oz from Jo's Country Junction

You might remember I bought some Wizard of Oz quilt blocks from the thrift store for $3. When I bought them, I had no idea the colors were so off and didn’t really go together. The fabric went together as a theme, all Wizard of Oz, but the colors…nope. They didn’t jive. They sat for …

Another Casino Day from Quilting My Way

Patrick went golfing and Kaiser woke me up at 8:30 am to let me know we needed to move my appointment because my density test wasn't scheduled yet and I needed that before my appointment. So, I had to call and get that scheduled and then call him back. While I waited, I called OBGYN to get an appointment in April - and they don't have that schedule available yet.

So, for a couple hours this morning, I was on the phone. Then I went walking. I got 3 laps in today, which was awesome. I have to ...

Monday - Embroidery Day - But Ended Up Quilt Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I had to head to Colleen's, then meet Kelsey in Centralia, and then head to moms. It was a busy morning just getting to moms. I ended up picking up 2 quilts to go to moms.

When I arrived, there were 4 of them there. Of course, mom had to pull out her blocks she's been making for us to help her decide how they are going to be put together. So, she made me help her lay them out on the floor.

We worked this one out. It was fun to see who everyone kept ...

Feels Like A Friday from Quilting My Way

I know today isn't Friday, but it feels like it. I'm bored!!

I cleaned up a bit while Patrick was off golfing. Then I cleaned the cat litter and called it done. I was able to play my game but got frustrated with the people I play with. They seem to stop playing when they think we are losing.  I listened to my audiobook today and finished one, starting another.

I worked on my leg warmers.

Good news is that it's done. I'm going to do another set but try and make them look a lot ...

Monday's Embroidery from Quilting My Way

I dropped off 2 quilt tops at Colleens and headed to moms. There were 5 of us. It was fun. Georgie and mom where working on QOV quilt stuff. I was working on my embroidery. I don't know why mom won't sit down and enjoy working on her applique instead of keeping busy with QOV stuff.

I worked on the pansy today. I started it and then came home to finish it. First, I went walking around the neighborhood, to get some walking in. Once that was done, I put the audiobook on and worked on finishing this ...

Quilt Finish: Pfeffernuse from Jo's Country Junction

It finally happened. I longarmed my Pfeffernuse quilt. I started working on this when my hip/leg/back started acting up this summer. This is the second time I’ve made this quilt. You can read about my first one HERE. I ended up gifting the quilt to family friends and always missed the quilt. That’s okay. I’m …

Meetings from Quilting My Way

This morning, I wanted to enjoy a few minutes of time to myself. Then I had to get a few things done for the meeting at the museum.

I left around 10:10 am and stopped at the post office. I was able to get the package out in the mail. Then I went to Dutch Brothers.

Next stop was the museum for our meeting. A few were there before I got there. I was a little late, considering I wanted to be there around 10;30 am. It was a good meeting. We ate and then talked about what ...

The Day Wasn't Mine from Quilting My Way

This morning was for Brazilian Embroidery. At least I was looking forward to it.

First things first, needed to go to the bank. I decided to go through the drive-thru because in the PAST, it was quick and easy. They have since changed the bank to a credit union. That's okay, but not when I go through the drive thru and I have to sit and wait while they hand over the deposit to get given to the gal in the lobby. Then, wait for it to come back. Which means, wait, wait, WAIT, okay, here you go. UGH ...

Finishing Up The Quilt Top from Quilting My Way

Today, I slept in. I realized I have been sleeping till around 9 am anymore. Guess I don't want to get up.

I decided to go downstairs and finish up the quilt top.

It took most of the day. When I had it done, I noticed the size was not where I thought it was supposed to be. Then I realized, I missed a white border that was supposed to be there. Oh, well. It's a good size and I'm going to leave it at that.

I made the mistake of putting the red on the wrong ...
