Finally! Finished! from Quilting My Way

Today, was one of those days where it poured! Rained all day! They are expecting flooding, so it's going to be interesting the next couple of days.

I headed out to Georgie's house for embroidery. I pulled out my Round Robin piece out to work on. Yep, I forgot I had it and needed to finish it.

After putting that on there, I realized I didn't have any other colors to add to the next flower, so I'm going to have to go digging in my box for something that will work with pink. It's ...

Quilt Finish: Baby John Deere Quilt from Jo's Country Junction

I told you last week that I put a baby quilt on the longarm to see if my leg/hip/foot/back could handle me working at the long arm. It was a small quilt top when I got it. I ended up finding the green border fabric in my stash and made the quilt just a little …

Took The Time To Bead Today from Quilting My Way

This morning, Patrick wasn't doing very well. I tried to keep quiet and let him sleep. He spent most of the day in bed.

When he was up and in the living room, I moved to the computer room. I wanted to learn how to make the earrings that are on YouTube.  I liked them and thought I could make a pair.

First, I tried with Delica 11/0 beads. She was working it with seed beads 11/0. They are different from each other. I didn't like the way this one was coming out. It didn't ...

First Round Robin Piece Finished from Quilting My Way

This morning, I needed to be up by 9 am to play the war game. I played but didn't get much in points. I've been backing off that game lately.

We watched some TV and then we shut it off.

I enjoyed listening to my book on tape and getting this done. I was trying to make it light and dark. It turned out pretty good, but not quite what I wanted it to look like. At least this is done. I hope she likes it.

I'm not sure when I will be getting the next one ...

From One Thing To Another from Quilting My Way

Today I was out the door by 9 am. Patrick wasn't doing well. I was a little worried about leaving him. I had to stop at a couple places and then make it to the grange. Colleen had a quilt for me, then I had to stop at Micheals for some floss. When I was done, Geralyn called to say McD's made a mistake and gave us sweet tea and could I pick up the other. So, I did.

We sat and chatted for a while. Alice stopped in. We gave her the sweet tea.

I took the ...

Getting A Few Things Done from Quilting My Way

Today was one of those days. I was in the mood to do a lot of stitching. I even made some bread for supper today.

This morning, I went downstairs to finish the quilt top that was on the floor. My next quilt is the one on the wall that Ann started.

Since I didn't need to do much but get the borders done, I worked on that. I'm glad I cut the border last time, so I didn't have to have a lot of work to do. I added the stars and then put it all ...

Started Another Project from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up and a little miffed with the neighbor cutting down a tree at 7:30 am.

Patrick went to his meeting/coffee with his other management friends who are all retired. While he was gone, I went through my project bags and put away my BE floss. I didn't realize I had so much out and about. I added more to the bars and found that I had to add more bars to hold the floss. Now it's about to the point where I can only add one or two more bars. Then I ...

An Awesome Day With Awesome Friends from Quilting My Way

Before I start this - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRIS! Today is my brother's 70th birthday. I wish the best for him!

My day started with me heading out the door and getting a few things done before joining Sandy and Geralyn. First was Rite Aid, but what I needed wasn't ready so, I opted to go back after our meeting. Then I headed to the post office to drop off the family group sheets for Bryan. I need to send him a message that it's on the way. After that, went back to Micheals to find the DMC floss ...

Casino Day And Quilt Labels from Quilting My Way

Today Patrick went golfing. While he was golfing, I was doing trips in town. First, I took the batting and quilt to the church for Rita. Next to Safeway because I had 2 free coupons that expired today. Next trip was to Phil's to drop a few things off. And lastly a trip to PUD to pay the bill for Gunderson.

Once all that was done, came home and set a message to everyone letting them know about tomorrow.

Patrick came in the door as I finished up with my email. Then we headed out to the casino, where ...

I Finished Another Quilt Top from Quilting My Way

Today, I was up and cleaning. Then I decided to go downstairs and work on the quilt top before we headed to the play in Centralia.

I was able to get the center area almost done before we left at 1 pm.

We went to Panda for supper. I got a birthday promotion that I used. We finally got back home around 5:30 pm.

I decided I wanted to keep the reds on one side and the blue on the other. So, when we got home, I went downstairs and worked on finishing this. First, I had to take ...

A Trip To Olympia And A Finish from Quilting My Way

This morning, we stayed pretty quiet. I did get some work on getting the word chart going. I haven't finished the deer part and wanted to get moving on it. So, I was able to get another 11 rows done before we had to leave.

We were meeting Kelsey at Jeremy's in town. I had a quilt for her to quilt. Then we stopped at Colleen's, and she was waiting to see if I had anything. Told her no, gave it to Kelsey. So, she can work on a quilt top with those blocks I gave her ...

Busy Finishing Stuff from Quilting My Way

This morning, I really didn't make plans. I wanted to but then remembered my cousin would be calling me again. I was ready for him today.

So, I started the day playing games. Then I cleaned up a bit. I worked on the laundry to get it done. I wanted to have less to do this week. Then I vacuumed. Was tired of seeing stuff on the floor. I found some drops as well, that I needed to clean since they wouldn't come up with the vacuum.

After all that, I took the embroidery piece downstairs to make ...

Quilt Finish: Old Town Mystery from Jo's Country Junction

I got my Old Town Mystery quilt finished. Yahoo!! I’m very pleased with how it turned out. Mine is a little different than the original mystery. Where I have brown, Bonnie Hunter, the designer, had teal. She used bright colors…I used reproduction prints. She had one row of large square on the outer border…I put …

Cross Stitch Finish: Cupid Sampler from Jo's Country Junction

I finished stitching my Cupid’s Sampler from With Thy Needle and Thread earlier this month. I finally got some time to go down to the “frame shop” in the basement. Originally, I thought I would finish this the way it’s shown on the cover by doing a hem stitch. After thinking that through, I decided …

Oh my word. It happened. My longest standing UFO is finally finished. Here is Hawaiian Sunset. Let me give you a closer look. Sometimes I wish I could keep a quilt hanging here all the time but they would fade so that doesn’t happen. Oh, I love this quilt. I loved it from the moment …

I told you in an earlier post that I finished this quilt and put the binding on it. Between having family here and the windy weather, it took a bit for me to get pictures of the quilt taken. Here it is all finished. Some of the blocks look pink from a distance, but they …

Two Finishes and a Sale from Jo's Country Junction

I finally got some time to take photos of the two table toppers I recently finished…of course, it was on a windy day so it wasn’t too easy. I made these using free measurements from Mary at the Chicken Scratch blog. I had hoped to get them finished by Christmas, but that didn’t happen. They …

Western 9-Patch from Urban Quilter

This is the last of my A Quilted Gift finishes for this week.

This is a simple sashed 9-patch with a cowboy border. There was enough of these fabrics in the donation bins to make 3 of this quilt, with more left over. I put one together and made up kits for two more. The kits will make up quilts identical to this one, but with different backing fabrics. I don't think I'm going to quilt this one, I'm going to hand it in and let another Guild member do the quilting. I included the strips for ...
